    What do believe Misdirection is?

200% agree. If you have a barrier between you and your audience, you will NEVER get the reactions you could if that barrier was brought down. To often magicians complain that they aren't getting the reactions they think the should be getting when doing a trick. See above for your answer as to...

    Invisible loops problems.

I think once you get past the fact that you are wearing a loop, you will break them a lot less. Even when performing with them. My good bud bSmith will rock the house with some loop magic, and he will take off and put on hoodies, jackets, etc...

    What do believe Misdirection is?

If you have great audience management skills, then the spectators will NEVER feel that they are being controlled. If they like YOU as a person, then they will listen to anything you have to say to them. And when you have them look at something, (misdirection), they will look twice without ever...

    Visual close up magic

Correct. Only after he tried to give advice on how to properly type and speak, to someone who uses English as their second language. And even still, incorrectly misspelled a word. :) So I can add my 2 cents... Gregory Wilson's On the Spot DVD is great close up magic without cards...

    Visual close up magic

What a pointless critique in the beginning. You should have waited on a response first before thrashing the kid for not being grammatically correct. With that said, the proper spelling is "sleights", not "slights". :)

    Quitting Cardistry To Do Magic....

I agree to a certain extent. More times than not, pulling out a deck of cards can lead to spectators rolling their eyes. BUT, I feel if you have already built rapport and they generally like YOU as a person, then they will care more about what you are doing and will want to see whatever you have...

    Performance Advice

Not only does it make it a bit easier, it also makes to where MORE people want to be entertained. You approach a couple and introduce yourself as hired entertainment and they say they are not interested. Chances are you going back to that same table to perform lessen. With my method, you get...

    Performance Advice

Some time ago I published an idea that was actually a reality for me...a way to never be told NO when performing. The method I used involved business cards I had designed where one side was white, and the other was black... As the wait staff seats their guests, they have them a business card...

    Quitting Cardistry To Do Magic....

I am rather torn on separating magic with cardistry. While I do know people personally who do not perform magic tricks, and just perform cardistry, I feel that as a magician, we SHOULD be able to have unexplained skill with a deck of cards. And that just doesn't mean a great pass. I mean...

    Herman vs classic

Hermmmmmaannnn or Turnover Pass. To me, I don't care about how invisible a move is. I will take great audience management over an invisible move anyday! :)

    Crown vs Monarchs

Meh...I will still put my foot down and say that the ORIGINAL Black Stingers that were released in 2009, are still THE best deck of cards I have ever used. I have still just a few unopened and have a deck open right in front of me. :)

    Starting Cardmagic

Exactly. Card College will walk you through. Royal Road will walk you through plus give you some simple tricks to use with the sleights learned. Card College is more modern, Royal Road is "dated". (Not really, but factually, yes...lol)

    Beginner Needs Advise.....

The first sleights I learned came from a book...Counts, Cuts, Moves and Subtlety by Jerry Mentzer. I learned the Elmsley Count and the Jordan Count before I even knew what "Mechanics Grip" was. I learned those sleights as a right handed magician would but I am left handed. To this very day...
