Ok, First of all Congrats on having the courage to go audition!!! Sounds like it is going to be a huge stepping stone for you! I am a former junior member and current member so I have some familiarity with the process. I will attempt to answer these questions in order then add some extra advice...

The key thing to remember is that there is no magic in confusion. If you want to do both, it is totally fine, just know that when you are trying to create a magic moment you need to slow down and let the magic happen. Otherwise you will be written off as "just good with our hands" but not "magic."

Take feedback as constructive and ask them "why is sucked" If their response is "because it wasn't good," then perhaps you need to work on the story or presentation. If they say something like "i saw the two cards when you said you only had one" then you know you need to work on the technique...

I applaud you for filming your work! most people just think they are good enough and jump into the world to show half baked performances. So kudos!

If you are just showing random people tricks it should not be an issue. The problem in these places is usually when you draw a large crowd or try to profit off of it asking for tips and stuff.

Unless they complain you should be fine. For example if you did get a ticket for doing magic, it would not be for "doing magic." it would be for disturbing the peace, trespassing, soliciting for tips, etc.

Does magic have to be involved or are you asking generally? I have used magic in team building excersizes for restaurant staff, but the main focus was customer service based (how to approach people, make eye contact, listen, positive body language, etc.)
