Video Project Someone Did About Me...

Fun watch. Nice job Dylan. Your style is a lot different than mine but it just shows that what works one doesn’t necessarily work for all, plus it’s been a long time since I've been in school. Note: If you want to stop being compared to Criss Angel you have to lose the Slipknot shirt:eek:

Vote for Smoke & Mirrors and Bee Stinger

It’s a personal preference. Everyone likes different cards and has their favorites for their own reasons. It just depends on what characteristics you like in cards. Look at some reviews to help with your decision or try a few decks out and find out which you like before making a big purchase.

New Book Out: The Official CIA Manual of Trickery and Deception

Good find Rev. I listened this morning to an interview Dodd Vickers did with the author. Heres the link. Looks like it will be an interesting read.

    First Stage Show Tonight

It seems your nerves are working up on you a little already. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. Just focus and control them. If you’ve done the prep work for your performance you’ll do fine. As far as when to show up. It depends on how familiar you are with where you’re performing and...

    Antique magic books, magazines, etc...

Thats a fun book. Your close. Just so you know it was published in 1878 by Hurst & Co(New York). The author was Professor Lorento.

    HL Hating on TheCuso

I think it’s pretty sad that instead of working together to push this section of art further certain members of the “elite” status instead choose to bicker in public or “leak out” petty issues. It’s almost counterproductive and certainly breaks what could be a large creative group overall...

    White Centurions

You can still find them for sale if you really want them but they are rather costly. They have stated that they printed 1100 decks but decided to go with the black instead. Maybe they did do it so they would be rare but they probably just liked the black better and went mass with those...

Where did you get those cards?

Ha. Reminds me of when Ricky Jay was on the Arsenio Hall show. Ricky hands the deck to Arsenio and he barely cuts it and hands it back to Ricky. Another guest on the show asks him why he didnt shuffle it more. Arsenio looks at him and says "because I know it doesnt matter." Great insight...

Where did you get those cards?

Your missing the point a little bit though. Why give them a needless reason to have a doubt about something? It's llike a little bug that gets in their brain and no matter how you try to explain it off that one thing puts the doubt there and it lingers. An example would be you as a magician...

How much do you offer for gigs?

It's Chapter 4: Marketing: Booking the Gig. I didnt mention them because for some reason I was under the impression you had them taken down and were marketing them as a PDF but I may have confused that with something else. Sorry about that. I updated my above post with the link.

How much do you offer for gigs?

Do you get more or less down under in kangaroo land? I was low balling a little due to him starting out. I think the average in most places would be more between 80 and 150 US depending on the circumstances. That if I'm correct in assuming he's stolling or something of that nature.

How much do you offer for gigs?

It sounds to me like this is your first time doing this. If it is then I think you’re going to find that 3 or 4 hours is going to be way to long for your first run. I would suggest 2 hrs max with breaks in between providing you have adequate material. You’re going to need the breaks for...

    Justin Miller on Piracy

Its a little dismissive to make such a broad statement. I think the second to the last post in the thread sums it up.

    Justin Miller on Piracy

I completely agree. I’ve heard one of the issues is the cost of publishing books vs. DVD’s although I'm not sure how true that is or weather the payoff is worth it.

    Justin Miller on Piracy

Since when is it anyone else’s business how someone chooses to dress or speak? If that’s their personal style who cares? It has no bearing on talent and therefore should not be judged by others. Don’t people have better things to do with their time then worry about how someone else is acting...

    Seeing Copperfield tonight in Cleveland

Sounds fun. Maybe you'll run into Kenner for an added bonus. Be sure you're taking mental notes on his presentation skills.

    Sight:Digital - Dee Christopher

I wasn’t doubting you Dee. It just didn’t sound right, but then again I don’t have it..yet. I'm already thinking about describing little subtleties in some different scenes from the film to make it all come together before the reveal of the title. Seems like many possibilities with this.

    Sight:Digital - Dee Christopher

I remember hearing something about this. With the top 10 horror list thing. I think I would reserve the remote viewing presentation for something they wrote or drew as it seems a little odd or not fitting here. Not that I dont think Dee's twisted mind didnt work it into this flawlessly.
