@ Nero: The link has been given above. See this post, quoted below...

anybody knows what this deck could be?

I may be wrong, but I recall reading that the Linen finish is more of a marketing tool than anything else these days. Whatever it used to represent is worth nothing now, at least that's what I recall.

    Revelation Technique!

I just wanted to update anyone here who might not be aware of the developments... If you look at the website now, you will note that it has been taken down. Apparently some well known Australian fellows got in contact with the seller and pressured him to do so, which he has done. The issue...

    Con Cam Coincidencia Review

Strange, I think, that more people do not seem to have gotten this trick. Well, suit yourself, but I thought I'd mention for the sake of it that if anyone who has this is interested, I've made one or two small changes and notes to the routine taught that I believe make it that much stronger...

Different Revelations mate. Vernon also wrote a book of notes and annotations on Erdnase called Revelations. This is a much more general DVD set published by L&L Pub. Have a look at the link provided above for a more comprehensive description of where the DVDs came from and what they contain.

    David Blaine Effect

Funny, I was reading about this on another forum just a few minutes ago. It appears to be a spectator does the work variation of Pit Hartling's Finger Flicker in Card Fictions.

    Cansposed by Carl Leek

A quick note on the dealer description issue... I more or less agree with you on this one. It's been a longstanding tradition that effects be described from the spectator's point of view. Simple necessity dictates it to be so. But too many magicians are concerned with finding a perfect effect...

    Does Anybody Recognize This Effect?

It's a very difficult effect to perform.

    What DVD/Book?

Jerry Cestkowski's Encyclopedia of Playing Card Flourishes would be a good choice.

Ian, I don't wish to take sides here, but I'm sure you can understand how "my own variation" can imply originality and ownership? The words "my own" pretty much represent ownership as well as any words in the english language. Having said that, I don't think you've acted terribly out of turn...

Does anyone ever feel they spend too much $ on magic?

Card-based mentalism. Sir FansAlot - Thanks mate, I appreciate the comment. :)

I think that'd be a fair assessment of technical skill, assuming that you were performing everything correctly. If you wanted some more technically-challenging sources, I'd recommend taking a look into things like Richard Kaufman's book The Complete Works of Derek Dingle, Eugene Burger's book...

    Mentalism. Which book to get?

Sorry I didn't see this earlier Nino. Well, there are always different opinions on this. I'll add my own of course, but before I do here are two others: http://www.lybrary.com/thirtynine-steps-mentalism-a-10.html http://gunnsight.blogspot.com/2004/08/gunns-beginners-guide-to-mentalism.html I...

Does anyone ever feel they spend too much $ on magic?

Mike - Thanks for chipping in! I think there's a lot of truth to what you say. In particular, there's definitely a palpable difference between hobbyists and professionals... There's nothing wrong with being either, and of course whoever you are will affect your spending as well... I do want to...
