It does need some break. Although it's not noticed.. the main thing to worry about is throwing the card.

how accessible are the needed materials? do they come with the dvd or can they be found at home or at easily at stores? I live in Germany so things are a bit harder to come by.

Way way way too many moves to your ACR. It was Bam bam bam bam bam. move after move. Even though it lasted 1-2 minutes. Which is okay time for an ambitious card, it felt like an hour due to so many moves happening, all accomplishing the same thing. An ambitous card routine can easily last that...

Stay away from Expert At The Card Table. It's way too early for that. I recommend Royal Road To Card Magic, like everyone else. Great foundation to start with. The Card Magic of Le Paul is a beautiful book full of invaluable material. This is my bible when it comes to card magic.
