Your favorite color change ... ?

The most commonly used changes are always best. -Erdnase (180 degrees) -Shapeshifter (180 degrees) -Winter Change (great angles if you have a large palm, if not about 120 degrees) -Cardini or Ego change (90 degrees) My favorite at the moment is the winter change because it looks so magical :P

    Favorite walk around mentalism effect...

Unlike magic, you cannot merely learn effects for mentalism because that will just make you look like a tool. You have to learn underlying concepts and theory on presentation in order to become a good mentalist. It's about relating to people and building rapport, which is why mentalism is so...

    Push Off Double Lift

Yep thats right. Otherwise I would have posted a tutorial on so many moves now sold at DnD on demand. If you keep the video up, be prepared for quite a lot of criticism. Welcome to the world of magic, where everyone is a di**head and nothing is what it seems =D Otherwise, I like the...

Magic product you would NEVER recommend.

Spot on :P No disrespect intended to Cedric of course, but aim a bit higher? I understand that plenty of people here love Kevin Parker effects, however I find a majority of his effects impractical and a rip off of older concepts. Just my $0.02.

Who is the most creative mind in magic?

You don't have to :P Google "The Georgia Wonder" or "Georgia Magnet" There's a book that sells on most magic site that explains it. Too lazy to find the link atm lol.

    Swami Gimmick

What I do is find an ordinary pencil with the correct Diameter of the desired lead. Then use a razor blade and remove the wood. Just shave off the wood needed for the length of the lead, however I normally shave off 20mm of wood (no pun intended) leaving behind the lead. You can then use that...

    Photoreading

He 'appears' to demonstrate photoreading/ photographic memory :P Most photo-reading products are a sham. There are many memory techniques out there, however photo-reading or what you saw in that infomercial is rubbish. I suggest you pick up books by Harry Lorayne on memory if you desire to...

New Version - Sam the Bellhop

That's James Galea. Apparently Australia's #1 Magician. The effect itself is called a story telling deck. I like this version over Sam the Bellhop, David Regal's and Michael Ammar, because I find this has more relevance and fits his personality better. I myself have a custom story telling...

    Getting Caught

I witness David Copperfield stuffing up his Ring Flight in front in a crowd of 8000 people. He dropped the ring, at the most crucial moment. "This trick is so good, you need to see it again" and he performs the vanish one more time. Here is the interesting part. I didn't notice he made a...

What inspires to create something new ?

I never perform effects straight out of a book or DVD. Everytime I get a learn a new effect, I will either change the handling or the patter, and this process of playing around with such, is how I create effects for myself. My inspiration mainly comes from my desire to be different. You...

Magic product you would NEVER recommend.

For every 4 magic releases, 3 of them will be rubbish, with one being from Jay Sankey. 4/3 people know that =D No but seriously, there's a fair share of rubbish out there, solely made for buyer's remorse. Not going to name any.

    Possible Invisible Deck Idea?

The rough and smooth principal using a blank deck has been done. But definitely good thinking.

Who is the most creative mind in magic?

Derren Brown is a great thinker, however his team comes up with a majority of his effects, including Andy Nyman, Luke Jermay etc. Chris Angel as well, most of the time he just changes exisiting ideas posted by his team of magicians the slightest. He's more of a face rather than a creator...
