I saw long time ago a trick in youtube. Card was selected and returned in the deck. Then magician put all the cards to the floor. Spectators selected one area and it was removed. Spectators selected more cads until one card was left, the selection. It is simple but effective...

Daniel Madison's "Transpone". It is a two card transport with no deck. You throw one card to the floor and you show the other card in your hand. Next time spectator sees a card in your hand, it is the card that was just in the floor.

This is one of my favourite impromptu effects. After i "vanish" their card i ask them to turn over the deck and speard. They see one card upside down and they dont look at the top card...

In Blind shuffle the deck stays completely in original order. Fake shuffle is basicly the same thing but it can mean that only top or bottom card stays in its original order

Mythbusters tested that, but unfortunately you cant kill just by throwing cards :( :p

Check the angle because it is important. It should be little less than 90 degrees...

That "pencil through cheek" is Anrew Maynes effect and he teaches it in his "Shock FX" dvd

I got interested in summer. I use stacking, bottom deal and false shuffles.. They works well :D
