    Pressure Fan-Right Thumb?

For the most part your not suppose to hold that thumb there through the entire fanning process. The right hand thumb should let go of the bottom of the deck about halfway through and the fingers will finish the pressure fan. The right hand thumb in the beginner just aids in getting the pressure...

Aligning Packets on the One-Handed Shuffle.

Practice this with a brand new deck so the weaving will be much easier. Get some good stretching exercises for your fingers. Proper alignment comes from being able to get your fingers to stretch in such an awkward fashion.

    I have a Cardistry / Flourishing question.

Heaven Display, armspreads, Self Standing Scupltures, Perching. There's a good amount displays that's not pure cuts. You can learn Perching and basic armspreads in Xtreme Beginners, for the SSS you can look around Handlordz for a few tutorials on basic ones, De'vo put out his self-standing...

    What should I get...

Xtreme Beginners. Now, DO NOT LET THE TITLE FOOL YOU just because it's got "beginners" in the name. If your fairly you'll learn a lot and even if you've been doing it for awhile it is a great DVD to further knowledge. There are a lot of basics that just aren't taught or gone over and sure there...

    New name for all this!

The point is, amazement is perceived differently when in real-life, right in front of them, rather through some computer or something. I highly doubt everyday people see people juggling chainsaws on fire and unicycle on tightropes above sharks IN PERSON. Who cares if the association is...

    New name for all this!

Well in that sort of venue your sort of competing for attention. Usually the ideal situation for this stuff is to make you the number one master on this card manipulation and what your performing is something that no one else in the world can do. I can see where your coming from. Not sure...

How many cards to you take out when flourishing?

This is a great tip!!! I always remove cards before even magic. There's really no need and your hurting yourself to begin with. One, a lot of people's hands are already small compared to what they'd like to be to do proper thumb cuts and giant pressure fans. Second, it's just to so easy to...

    New name for all this!

There is a difference between watching things done on a laptop or on TV than stuff being done right in front of you. People appreciate things more when done in person and will easily be okay with words like "extreme" and "cards" going together. This works well when your using actual impactful moves.

    New name for all this!

I really don't see it that way, sure it will pop up in books sometimes, but still kind of iffy depending on the people you deal with. I pulled the definition for flourish off of dictionary.com http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/flourish But I applied a definition that would make...

    New name for all this!

Is it laughable that magicians still use playing cards when they're said to have magical powers? "I'm such a skilled magician I still use playing cards to demonstrate my awesome magical talent!" Point is their both stupid. But the only reason XCM is a great term within the community is the...

    New name for all this!

Look at the terminology and really really look at it. Look at it connotation and well as the denotation to laymen. Cardistry, stems from two words. card - usually a rectangular piece of paper stiff and thin for various uses artistry - artistic workmanship and quality I have a problem...

    New name for all this!

A name is just a name. Card manipulation sounds just fine to me but unfortunately thanks to several magicians and such there are too many crossovers with just those two words.

    Double One Hand Card Fan

Looking at your own self achievement that's something that can go WAY WAY beyond discussion and can get extremely complicated and like I said it's your own bar and standards so if can differ greatly from others but I like to speak generally. HOWEVER, I do stress the importance of audience...

    Some Fanz

For your backs out twin fans you seem to be using a sort of weird deck division. Try using a paddle wheel cut or thumb-riffle and hold the divided halves with one-hand with the thumb holding the packets in a step lengthwise, then place your other in the correct position to start the one-handed...

    Double One Hand Card Fan

I do own those products they do make a difference in giant fans. How ever, a giant fan is a giant fan, usually in a routine it'd be better to make the normal giant fan offsetted to show indices properly. However stick some angle fans in there backs out and you got a nice fanning riff. This...

How long have you been flourishing?

I started doing this about 4 years when I stumbled upon Superhandz through some search engines, then heard about De'vo's Teaching CD's which sold out pretty quickly but sparked my interest to keep an eye out for material similiar to that. Got Cradle to Grave and been with it ever since.

What flourish makes you feel like a badass?

Overhead spring, watchspin, behind-the-back deck toss, one-handed riffle shuffle.

    Double One Hand Card Fan

... Perfect? I don't get it really, sounds like to much work to do a 26-26 perfect card weave to do a perfect one-handed giant fan which you would need to offset one card to hold the fan. What I was referring was doing a ONE-HANDED giant fan using a one-hand riffle shuffle weave technique...

    Double One Hand Card Fan

Who says you need a "perfect one hand weave" we're not asking for faros here. Cut low for the slid out portion of the deck when your doing the one hand weave and it'll be easier to get that nice card-for-card weave, then adjust the weave in preparation for the one-handed giant fan. Since it's...
