I would do what Wayne said. Video tape yourself of a performance now, and keep practicing it for a year. Then go back to the video tape to see how much you've improved. Chances are that there could be an added twist to your trick, or maybe it's too long of an effect. So perform it a bunch...

Kevin is creative, but his teaching skills are not up to par. I have his video Passing Thru, cool trick, but it looks like he made the video in his living room on the couch in his pajamas. Not professional. He needs to go into more detail also.

ooo, that was a little harsh. Lets not judge by that video to see if he already knew stuff from the Trilogy or not. I find that a little hard to believe though, because most tricks/flourishes on those DVDs were complex. Maybe he'll elaborate on what he already knew from the DVDS.

I think you should see some of "The Amazing Jonathan" shows. I'm pretty sure their on youtube. That should give you some inspiration, just don't try to steal his routine/lines. Hope I helped you out.

I could do a magic jam to about any kind of music. That's just the way I am though, you know.
