I love your releases Joey but I do disagree a little.
I don't understand how offering it for free helps at all. Theory11 already sells the "Werm" for $4.95, they are not going to offer a flourish on the Wire for free that teaches the same move.
If it started with the "Werm" I would start with...
Great article :) I read something like this in Forbes a while back. They went through some of the most successful people in the world ie Tiger Woods (at the time), Bill Gates and so on. They came to about the same conclusion and gave specific examples. I love it, they are both great articles :)
I disagree but that is fine. Do as I do is a good trick, poker players picknick is good, cards across, and the ambitious card taught are good. David Blaine performs many moves and effects that he got directly from Royal Road on his specials.
I like Fade and Clench but they are bothe very hard to do. They are sleight intensive. I would suggest something self working like "Do as I Do". It is in Royal Road.
Just to add to my last post I'd like to clarify a couple things.
1. Three year olds are a tough audience. If you are silly or have a fun personality just about anything will work.
2. You've heard the phrase "A magician never reveals his secret". This is still true even among magicians for the...
Welcome to the forums :) Magic is like other art forms, there are artists and creators of tricks. While I'd love to share all the best tricks out there it would disrespectful to the creators out there if I did. The best place to start is the library or you could get a classic book like Royal...
I'd love to go to your show it looks great! The reel looks a little choppy. I'd hi-light fewer clips with more one liners. There were a couple clips that didn't make much sense at all. You look very professional and on top of things.
I like your thoughts but I hope you don't mind if I disagree.
My personal definition of art is this; the communication of how we feel. I don't know about the rainbow routine, I don't know what greater meaning he is shooting for. To me it fell a little flat there. Entertaining? Yes. Greater...
I don't know if I completely agree with this, for instance Lennart Green has a wonderful FISM act that is compelling for magicians and layman alike. There is definitely some truth to it though. Magic for magicians can help to give depth to the art and it will always have it's place in magic as...
It is apparent that a magician will see this differently than a layman. There is a difference but it is not bad.
The magician looks at it knowing that it took years of work, more than 20 color changes are used ant the amount of set up makes me tired just thinking about it. The concept and plot...
