There is often a stereotype that magicians use magic words. Many classic magicians did this and a few still do to day. Even books like PRISM suggest you utter an incantation. So my question is: would saying magic words still be appropriate today and if so what is an example of a magic word that...

Thanks, great ideas. I think sometimes as magicians we worry to much about method and not enough about presentation. But if we over come this we can take our magic to the next level.

This isn't that big of a deal but you know how they have the different sections for tricks (e.g. Coin Magic, Card Magic, etc.) I think they should add a mentalism one.

I don't see anything wrong with it, as long as your using classic moves/principles and not those currently sold by magicians today. If you think about it a lot of magicians put out their own take of classic effects or create new effects with classic methods. As long as your not stealing someone...

I kinda have this problem especially with the ambitious card routine. Is there something better I should say or should I just not say anything at all.

What do you mean by pointing. Personally I don't think physically pointing would work, however, their are other ways of directing the audiences attention and misdirection them. These include starring somewhere else, having a conversation with them so they look at you, or focusing their attention...

Also, in addition to presentation, theatrics are important as well. For example, take into consideration what you wear, your hairstyle, etc. Now I'm not suggesting you change your whole look, but when you perform look the part. You could wear robes or dark clothes or whatever fits your style...

I agree with @WitchDocIsIn. Focus on presentation and be well versed and knowledgeable about the topics you present. However, for material I would suggest anything from Eugene Burger or Paul Voodini.

So my schools principle suggested I should send in a magic video that he could post on the schools social media page. I would love to do this however I don't know what to perform. It needs to be short (a minute or less) and needs to be visual. I don't want to do too many slights as I'm worried...
