    Gimmickless Mentalism

If billets and stuff like that are considered props, I’m fine with that. I was more talking about like mechanical and electronic stuff. Or things like gimmicked boxes and that sort of thing.

    Gimmickless Mentalism

I’ve been looking for a good gimmickless piece of mentalism (without cards) that I could carry around with me. It doesnt matter wether it’s a video or a book, but I need some recommendations. Preferably I like the which hand effects, but I havent yet found one that is gimmickless and almost...

    The Art vs The Tools

For the people who understand it, the perfect execution of the moves and sleight of hand is an art itself. If the person knows how to appreciate it, the moves are a as much of an art form as is the performance. For example, Steve Forte doesnt do “magic” so to speak, but if you know anything...

    Forcing card from the table

The "40 ways to Force a card" DVD has a few ones, but nothing really good. There are some psychological forces if the cards are face up. Chris ramsay has a good one with a flashlight and a ring on his channel. My favorite way is what shin lim used in his AGT channel.

    Tabled Color Change

I unfortunately couldnt find any videos of this move right now, but it is something I have seen quite a few people including Daniel Madison do which is basically a wave over a card on a hard surface like a table and it changes. I dont think it is a kind of mucking, but more of a flashy color change.

    Best Deck Switch Gimmick

Madison has a few interesting ideas in his books. Giobbi has a book dedicated to switching called the art of switching deck. Benjamin Earl also has a a video on deck switches. Quick disclaimer: I dont own Benji Earl's version myself but I have heard a lot of good things about it.

    Card Handling Advice Please

If you practice some finger exercises and/or warm up your hands in some way, the feeling would go away. At least it does for me.

    Card Handling Advice Please

I have the same problem since I live in a really humid place. I would just wash my hands and do finger exercises for a few minutes and my hand gets back to normal. At least that’s how I do it.
