Well hell.
Looks like I'm looking for a one handed cardist.
I am trying to invent a two-packet flourish and, Im not sure if it's been done; but a one handed top-card reveal+flourish+back on top of he deck. All while holding a deck.
Or is this one of those 'make a video and send it to the...
That's the problem. If a spectator thinks you used, in this case, elastic to make a trick happen. Then that's the reality of it to them; you used elastic to get the trick to work--whether they are correct or not.
I have a question: are one handed flourishes looked at as 'beginner' material to build up to 2 handed flourishes?
It seems a lot harder to track down and find resources for the one handed stuff. Are they just not in demand or no one has really tapped into the one handed stuff?
It's actually a good reminder. It's tough to remember when you can do one flourish that relies a bit on gravity, then try do do another one that tries a bit on the same principle; but can't divorce the idea that lever and clamp are not the same thing
The part that got me with the Muse Cut was that the part I thought was the hardest (the packet flourish) was easy.
And the part I thought was easy (the deck hold) was damn near impossible at that time.
I've been doing the darn thing since October and I still get scared doing it in the right...
All right, I know these:
Charlier
basic Revolution
basic one handed deck shuffle
Muse Cut
I don't have a large completed set as I'm learning how to do each flourish in both hands, so all 4 listed can be done in both the left and right.
I just started to balance the deck with the pinky-against...
I think that by announcing, 'no strings, no elastics, etc.'
You're daring people to look for SOMETHING.
At that point, you're not showing a magic trick, you're presenting a puzzle.
I figure if he was a collector or getting a deck to invest in, he would have done it by now.
But it also looks like he's shooting in the dark in looking for a magic effect.
But since the former hasn't happened and the latter is a poor reason to acquire magic; I would just sit in the points and...
There are hundreds of variations of the pass. What version are you doing, first off.
Second, as said earlier. No pass is undetectable. But there are passes that are less obvious than others.
My recommendation is more practice.
I checked out NB3 and it seems like it's all two handed flourishes. It sounds like I might be looking at the wrong video (I found NB3 by Chase Duncan). I'll give it a look because I can always get some ideas, but I need a link--especially if it's an acronym. I've only been doing cardistry for...
I realized that about the name when I said it too fast. I'm just baffled by why someone would take the time and dedication to making a complex flourish; then turning around and doing something like, 'I'm going to name it herpes!'.
If cardistry is an art, cox uker is a crudely spraypainted...
All right. This year I'm drlving into one-handed Cardistry and magic much much more.
I'm trying to create a routine, but I'm having a bit of a tough time finding one-handed flourishes that utilize 3 packets.
The only one I know of is cox uker, but I'm not really a fan of the aesthetic--or...
I have a few goals:
- successfully perform a strolling set and a magic show at a children's hospital in a weekly basis.
- enter this years annual holiday contest (I already have an idea, it's just going to take me about a year to get it all down)
I know we just had a contest that went over what we intend to do, as a whole, for 2015.
I'm asking what specific moves or tricks are you going to be working towards? Do you have a set time-goal for those?
For cardistry, I'm hoping to do Teachwrap in both hands by the end of...
Seeing how the current wristbands are so high in demand, Theory11 doubled the point value to acquire them (which I also is due to a means to prevent the current stock from going to zero while awaiting the next shipment to arrive).
I don't see a color variant happening anytime soon. The only...
