    Are anyone's parents magicians?

No. The only magicians I know in my local area are The Wordsmith (who is a very good friend), a guy a couple of years older than me and apparently one of my grandparent's friends was, before he passed away.

    Falling and Rising

Well done for picking it up again. At that point, I'd kinda lose the plot and the routine would squiff up or something crazy. Nice to hear about this - thanks for posting.

Bringing People to Jesus through Magic

I'm not going to lie here, I haven't read through all of the replies to the original post, these are my immediate thoughts. How can you do magic and still call yourself a Christian? Well I am not personally religious, however I feel that magic is a good thing to do. If you claim to have...

    WH 2008 Holiday Giveaway

'Coz kids would freak out if it got around that the guy that sneaks into childrens' rooms in the dead of night is irresponsible enough to go around pulling lengths of thread from their eye. Parents wouldn't be happy, believe me...

    impromptu

*Rolls eyes* you're all as bad as each other. I wouldn't class that as 'misleading', just ignorance. Either that, or you have a different definition of 'awesome' to Chotu. It would help if it was specified what these 'awesome' books were. But still, when somebody asks for impromptu magic...

Excellent. Thanks for this Gustav, you've practically sold this dvd/set to me. Are you a secret agent sent by Mr. Earl to trick mindless consumers like me into spending cash on something they don't really want or need? Hmm...I'm on to you Agent G::, don't think you're getting away with it. I'm...

    X Finger or Exile?

Care to elaborate? Saying that you don't like either doesn't educate or aid anybody really. Do you own both and are speaking in terms of method and practicality or do you have neither and this is an opinion on the effect in general and from what you've seen and heard? Your opinions are as valid...

Well when you put it like that...;) Jussayin' that it's a little misleading posting about Riot on a thread about impromptu magic. In regards to the original post - magic is only as stunning as you make it. Sorry if this sounds really stupid, but my friend and I recently took a few Less...

Isn't Riot gimmicked? That slightly takes away from the 'impromptu' doesn't it?

Aaron Fisher's move is also taught in DnD Buck's Trilogy in Card Across. That's where I learned it.

Biddle Battle : Open for Voting

Ramo, you did the steal terribly, I'm afraid. It was a good use of the move, more original than the standard Biddle, but it really needed work. Aris, nice. Nothing wrong with the performance. I'd just say that maybe you should make it more original, make it your own. It's harder without patter...

    Card Control [trick]

I posted this on youtube as well. That was very nicely performed. Only discrepancy was when the card was selected and signed. That looked a little fishy - maybe use a double to have it signed? Apart from that this was very nice, didn't catch any slights or suspect moves. Well done, it looked...

    Favorite Trick

My favourite trick would have to be Chris Kenner's Sybil the Trick, due to the ending, the fact that it combines flourishing, mentalism and great skill and the fact that it is just plain impossible. However, I save this trick for special occasions - my most commonly performed trick would have to...

    Who invented Sybil?

As previously stated, Chris Kenner published two flourishes, one named Sybil and the other named The Five Faces of Sybil (this is the one widely regarded as the basis for most modern cuts) in his book, Totally Out of Control. Five Faces of Sybil also features in a trick in the same book: Sybil...

    Clutch by Oz Pearlman

This is a fair point, however I was trying to give my completely honest opinion on this effect. I am in no way saying that I am right; I am adding another opinion to the mix. Agree or disagree, this is what I think about Clutch. Overhyped for a trick that seems obvious (to my eye at least). If...
