New theory11 Moderator Announcement - ZachMonky

Hey Zach, use your mod powers to delete almost all the immature posts before mine. Allow me to interject in my feelings on this ruling (as if anyone actually wants to hear them... ha.) First off, I would like to say that I do not personally know Zachmonky. I live across the country from...

Daniel Garcia's Sam the Bellhop (NSFW)

That was the greatest thing i have ever seen in my freakin' life! God that was insane! I am still crying as to how funny that was! Oh my god...

My Friend has Dug Himself Into a Hole

Man, thats soon! Drop the ropes; I would say either try and make this all add together, or Angle Zero. If you want Fizzmaster, but don't have AoA, Michael Kras has a neat version of it that would work well on stage in a free eBook somewhere on the net.

Criss Angel Continues To Embarass The Magic Community

I am unsure what to think. I feel that Criss can't be THAT bad of a guy if Penn and Teller, and Zigfried and Roy, and Lance Burton all like him. And yet, all of this stuff is just proving that he has no respect for the art, like his show.

    New Project - Uncut Sheet

Man, everyone has their own little list of famous magicians they have met. As for me, I am a VERY fortunate person to have gotten autographs from people like Troy Hooser, Max Maven, Shawn Faquhar, John Calvert, Silly Billy, Chuck Hickok, Jonathan Levit, Joshua Jay, and a TON of others...

You aren't REALLY Shawn... Are you?

    Parlor Show

Oh, and top changes are easy in front of large audiences. I would actually advise a Twirl Change for a big audience though. Plays a lot bigger if you do it up and down at a sideways angle. Oh, and instead of making YOU running around the running gag, make the spectator run around. The same...

    Parlor Show

Man... I don't know what you should do. Chicago Opener can be used for an audience that big, but I would definitly combine it with a color changing deck. I did that once in a parlour show. I did Sankey's variation, to where you show the audience the different colored card with a big sharpie...

    Cardistry noob

I started with Motion by Daniel Madison. I would try that. I can do most of the flourishes off of Dangerous well with speed and fluidity but have gotten NOTHING in the way of flourishes from the Trilogy. Still was definitly worth the money though. I am going to buy the fourth volume and...

    Voting open for Asher Twist!

I voted for Eggnof. You guys are both really good though!

    Best Cardistry..er ever

Personally, Daniel Madison. Greatest cardist on earth. I don't know why. Love his magic and his flourishes. HUGE fan. And yet there is a world outside of Theory11. I also enjoy Bone Ho, Dan and Dave, The Virts, and every other great cardist. d+M all the way though.

    Hmm...

I almost always answer, "I invent a lot of it." and move on. That way you don't lie, and people don't search it on Youtube.

Do the artists use T11 tricks?

I LOVE LIT. LIT is great. Use it a TON. Thank you, Dan White for answering. Very kind of you! I think that they would probbably use the stuff. Although I have nothing against magicians who sell effects they don't do. If they are good effects, that is. Someone, somewhere has to do them.

    Original Music and Awesome Magic.

I also forgot to mention something. If you are ever filming a live magic trick or show for some people, I always try to let the people who I know are ok with bieng filmed know in advance that they are going to be. If I am just going up to random people with the video camera, then I will talk...

    Original Music and Awesome Magic.

Alright... Time for some feedback! I applaud your idea. The idea and determination it takes to go out there and film, write music, and put it all together in front of a bunch of rabid magicians takes guts. Good job! The only thing was, is that the entire thing was edited pretty poorly, the...

    Juggling and Flourishing

It is juggling of sorts, and yet I still do it. For me, even though it has NO use at all, it is a test of whether I have the patience to learn it and do it or not. It's like meditation for me.

    Favourite self-working trick ?

I would say Route 66 by Alvo Stockman. GREAT reactions, easiest trick ever. Greatest sandwitch routine ever done. My performance of it for a live crowd was Week 1 of the PopChris Project, which is the link in my signature. It has a lot of differences from most sandwitch effects contrary to...

How do I take my magic to the next level?

I would definitly say go out there and perform. I had so many different "levels" that I reached so far in magic, and more to come. You will hit different levels. You will hit the level where you perform proffesionally. You will hit the level where you can improvise a totally new performance...

Magicians - How much do you charge?

When I do shows, I calculate a lot of things in. My bookings normally come from someone calling or emailing me about the show, and I email or call back with a price. I calculate gas in there (don't tell them that), I calculate the time, and I calculate how much I feel I am worth. Once...
