    The Svengali Deck?

You can do a ton of stuff! Forces, mind reading, Instant color changes, anything! You can have the spectator shuffle the deck and still have every other card be a force card. You can do a "A"CAAN. Its a utility tool you can use for a ton of stuff.

What is your favorite color change?

I'm assuming you mean single card or packet colour changes? My top 3 favorite: (actually just now realizing I don't know too many, only know about... 8 - 10?... and can't perform all of them. Welp, back to the books after this!): Marlo's Miracle Change - Amazing reactions and I have been able...

    Loops...

Well, as you mentioned, it is difficult for you to make your own loops. However, if you find it easier, or if you find someone to make them for you, I recommend buying Yigel Mesika's "Mesika's Elastics". It is essentially 100 ft of Loops thread packaged in a little, dental floss style box...

Playing card games as a cardist/card magician

I love to play card games for fun. I normally end up doing the shuffling and everything, and a lot of times I don't know how to play, but I try to pick it up quickly. Further more, a ton of kids in school and even my friends love to cheat at games. Its amazing actually. As long as the game is...

    Deal Practice Contraption

Update! WEAR A HANDSOCK! I am an abnormally hairy 16 year old kid. I put a ton of duct tape firmly onto my hand... It hurts so much while peeling it off :( It is most definitely not like a band aid... I used reinforced duct tape. I Think I am going to get a piece of cloth or something ad wear...

    Deal Practice Contraption

Hey guys! So I've been working on my deals for a while (want to get it perfect so I can judge & practice my false deals). However, I have a bad habit of pushing the card over instead of swiveling my thumb. After trying to get out of this habit for a while and only getting there partially, I...

What does magic offer that no other art does?

I see what you're saying but I think challenge is the wrong word. More like.... inexplainability? Here's how I see it: Magic requires wonder, but it isn't the only art that requires wonder. Magic without the wonder isn't magic. At the same time, a sci-fi novel, or even realistic fiction...

    Jimmy Fallon Deck!!

Nice! What was the first false cut you used? Vernon?

What does magic offer that no other art does?

Well in a way, Philosophy is a challenge to commonalities in our life. A lot of movies and books focus on challenging our reality. Optical illusions challenge our reality - a lot of artists focus on them. Hell, culinary artists challenge us with surprising things to change our view point on the...

    Calling yourself a magician?

Not really related, but if anyone is walking into a room and calling themselves A Conjurer (or worse - THE Conjurer) - you might have more than a few problems, depending on the audience lol Justin, The Name doesn't really matter, if your performance is good enough, people who see you as a...

What does magic offer that no other art does?

Totally agree, but Just to add along to that last sentence - just like any other form/tool of art.

    Performing to strangers

So.... Just to summarize: No but seriously, as soon as you break the wall and start performing, something just clicks in your head and makes it a lot easier. Start small. For example - if you are still in school, maybe perform for kids you know "exist" but don't really know personally. Then...

Why do people hate Jay Sankey?

Ha fair enough. I like the guy as a person, just not his performance style. I'm just confused as to how on Earth people want to stab the guy to death! His jokes aren't murder worthy, I mean I've laughed at some.

    Deck Switch?

There are a ton of good deck switches out there, as Michael stated above. If you are looking for products and gimmicks, here is a nice list. Switcheroo Deck Hold out by Michael O'brien - a Utility device that allows you to switch or load anything secretly and comfortably in any scenario. You...

    Dry Hands

Thanks James! How much does it reduce your cards' life by? Is it really that big of a deal (ie. will it reduce it to the point where I'm going through decks twice as quick, or maybe just by a couple days/weeks depending on how much you use them). I don't think it'll reduce it too much, will it?

Why do people hate Jay Sankey?

1st off, I'm not hating on him, if you read my previous posts. 2nd-ly, The show has a time restriction. They can't show you a full 20 minute act along with 3 other 10 minute acts, a 5 minute act, and 3 advertisement breaks in a 1 hour show. What they took out did not take away from the act at all.

    Dry Hands

Hey guys, so I had some more questions regarding this subject, thought this post was still pretty new. I normally never have dry hand problems, but recently I started having some pretty dry hands and it started to really affect my practice. I put some moisturizer on and realized "I should've...

    Master Deal Question

So I've been practicing my Master Grip & Deal (by Marlo) for a while now. I have gotten it the a point where I'm reasonably comfortable with it. However, I saw a magician who said Dealing - and False dealing) is significantly easier when you also put the middle finger across the top, resting...

    New Pass Concept

No problem! However, as I learned in a similar fashion, terminology is crucial. If you right the wrong thing - even if the 2 things were ridiculously simple - it will confuse everybody.
