Way for a new Magician to Make Money?

Heh, don't start busking on the street - you need a licence to do that! Hmm. It takes money to make money. You need to get an arsenal of effects. Skip the Skywalker levitation for now and head to your local library and get every single book you can find on magic. Learn form there first and...

    Skywalker Levitation

no prob, It is just the booklet of instructions and performance ideas. The gimmick needs to be made so it works properly for the individual. Perhaps a bit of fishing for the method, but there are no electronic parts. It's quite simple and clever - but not completely practical for every...

Has anyone seen 'Eco Edition' Cards?

Hey all, I picked these up at Zellers. They are Eco Edition bikes. They are green and black (a bit more vibrant green than the picture shows). They of course they handle just like regular bikes, but the finish feels a bit smoother. Haven't seen anything about them, so I thought I'd share for...

    Skywalker Levitation

Hey byu, For the money you get a booklet with the instructions how to create the gimmick. The instructions are well done, and the idea is pretty good. As stated in many of the reviews floating around, it is not something you would have on you all day. But it is easy to set up and remove (few...

    Best opener?

Hey congrats! How did the interview go? Did you perform some things for the manager? How many nights are you working?

    Best opener?

I used a TT silk appearance and vanish (using a diamond cut silk). I also used Joker's wild a lot. I worked in a place that didn't have a lot of kids and I think after both of these effects it convinced people that you can actually do something good. They are fast, flashy, and impressive to get...

    Vanishing A Small Bottle

Hey good idea. Put the first drops in one eye, ditch the bottle and bring your hand back up and refill the dropper, from non existent bottle, and put the drops in the other eye, and then the bottle is gone. You could always stash the dropper behind your ear...

    Vanishing A Small Bottle

heh, if you wear suspenders, Dan Sylvester has an amazing method... you could perhaps put a strong magnet into the bottle and another one on your belt or somewhere that would work to ditch it if it is a small bottle.

    Volunteer Interview at Hospital

Sorry for the short hand. I used to open with a simple silk appearance and vanish. It works great. However, dont use the little silk that comes with it. Spend the extra couple of dollars to by a 12''-18'' diamond cut silk with it. It looks way better. Jusitn

    Volunteer Interview at Hospital

Hey that's awesome! I looked into doing this last year, but some things came up and it wasn't the right time. It can be a really neat thing to teach the kids a trick. Penguin Magic will donate tricks for you to use and to give away to the kids. Email Maxwell and ask for more information...

    Show this Saturday!

meh, i think keep the finger shopper as a backup if you have a good routine for it. Not suer how many people will be there, but if there is 30 or less, be prepared for them to all turn and focus on you at once. I fit's a large group of friends, and they are all hanging out as a group (as...
