    How do you Answer?

Heh, that's a real compliment. Good job. Personally, I never pretend to do "real" magic, but whatever fits your style. j

Intermediate Card Magician looking for new material

As far as "1 trick" dvd's , Stigmata was one of the best, most used purchases because of the versatility and the routines are great. If you are looking for something new, I would recommend either Paul Harris' Art of Astonishment series. Or Gregory Wilson's On the Spot DVD. Fantastic material...

    Favorite ACR ending?

Man, there's a ton of great ideas here! I use the pop up move, but recently tried Sankeys Paperclipped move. Awesome. ANd to those who say that card to impossible location is not logical... what do you think is so impressive about the ACR? ="How did it get to that 'impossible location'...

What's the Greatest Gimmicked Trick Ever?

Invisible Deck is awesome for sure. Card to any location is always a hit. If you can pull it off, Healed and sealed is a reputation maker. For the Canada Day show I did, I did ambitious card, but I gave a small case (a mini attache) to a spectator before I began. After the trick was finished I...

Theory11 - Nearly One Year Later

Don't get me wrong on this, but how exactly is the 1 on 1 section different than any other sites Instant downloads, other than the fact they update it weekly (which rocks)? I wouldn't call it revolutionary, because it already exists, but I do like the material. perhaps I'm missing the...

"The Real Secrets of Magic" by David Stone : THE BOOK

I have to say that (aside from the language and crude references in the book) I'm really enjoying it. A lot of it seems like common sense (but you know what they say about common sense...), but there's also so many other great tips and things to think about. It's a must to add to any close up...

    Major Problem - Resolution

Hey great job. Who says you can't hold kids attention for an hour and a half? ;p Just imagine what you can do with some more preparation, time, and ideas! Make sure you write down what you did. That will help you in planning your act out, so you will be prepared for your next show. gj justin

Angle Zero - The Perfect Plot

Hey I like the idea. I agree it might be too perfect. Not sure tho. And you have to be careful about using the manager. They are awfully busy. The manager might not be able to come over, or might be far to busy to participate. However, if you gave it to another table nearby.... j

    Major Problem!

In agreement to the first advice. Just politely let this Mother know that your show will last 30 min. Apologize for any inconvenience, as she may have planned around you. A tip for next time (which I'm sure you are learning already, but just to articulate it...) -Confirm the details of your...

    Anchoring

I don't know a lot about it, but Derren Brown has some stuff on it in his book Pure Effect. j

    Fire Wallet - Worth it?

As long as it's not armed, and in it's packaging, it shouldn't be a problem. Jim Pace has a funny story about going through customs with a bunch of inviso torches. The customs officers couldn't figure out how to use them, so they just let it go.

    What kind of tricks?

Hmm, tossed out deck would be good. I've never used that, but could be very impressive. Not sure which one is best. j

Well, I went ahead and had the cards printed. They printed a lot darker than it looked on my computer, but overall, it looks really good. Nice to finally have some printed cards. j
