This is great advice, but if you do not have a Porper clip then grab some heavy books and place them on top of the deck and leave it for a few days. If it's hot outside, it's not a good idea to keep them inside your pockets because your pockets heat up which will warp the cards; like Rob said...

Maybe after Gypsy Thread, head into SAW by Sean Fields. You have the thread/string ready to go after the trick, so SAW would be a perfect follow up effect.

Wholeheartedly agree Dan. I find the effect quite fun to practice. It keeps the hands moving and it looks super smooth. I practice this every day!
