    Guardians... no support?!

"Sure, there are people that will just say, get over it and use bikes...they're cheaper anyway. The thing is, I shouldn't have to" If you'd like to explain why you're entitled to gaffed guardians, I'm all ears. Were you promised them when you initially invested in a standard pack of...

Two Queens, and effect I just came up

Thanks buddy! I think one problem in magic is that a lot of more advanced cardicians tend to design effects for magicians rather than to amaze laypeople. I appreciate the comment!

Two Queens, and effect I just came up

I agree, I'm trying to figure out some ways to hide that move.

Two Queens, and effect I just came up

thanks for the feedback, and danny that was a great suggestion in terms of monte integration considering the layout of the cards is very similar to that of 2CM. Here is a different version I shot FYE, enjoy: http://tinypic.com/player.php?v=mux3ea&s=3

Two Queens, and effect I just came up

Wanted a dual color change. This is what I came up with after playing around. Any advice? This is not a camera edit, as someone from PenguinMagic said it was. I recorded an instructional video and will send it to a respected moderator if proof is needed. Still have not developed a...

    Color Changing Deck!

How about having a spectator sign a card, then you change their SIGNED card. Still think these are sad?

    Color Changing Deck!

So are "thumb tips" exposure? How about "flash paper"? Shims? We all know what these are and how they operate, but they're utilities. Alpha cards are a tool that can be used by magicians. Imagine having a spectator sandwich a card face-up in their own hands, then you pretend to switch it for...

    Making a Deck Vanish

That's what came to mind as well; Michael Ammar has some incredible Topit resources...You should be able to come up with a decent vanish given a silk+Topit. Then it's only a matter of making the box appear; play around, it depends on what you're wearing. There's a few methods I'm thinking of...

    Saturday Night Contest: Crazy Cuts!

Props to all the competitors who were respectful, I was honestly expecting to see a lot more sore losers. I saw some pretty jaw dropping stuff, and laughed out loud a few times; classic thread!

    Chuck Norris of Magic?

When Mike Ammar is given an invisible deck, he doesn't forget to take the cards out of the box before shuffling them. Best one for me; I use that line in my standard ID performance.

    Lee Asher's Thunderbird!

Thank you for the compliment! I perform at eye level so I don't have to worry about angles; keeping my hand between the camera and my eyes allows me to perfect the angles, I use this in real life to make a variety of effects easier.

    Lee Asher's Thunderbird!

Thank you, that's a very good point. The thing is, my thumb would naturally be exposed, and I'm honestly very new to tenkai so I'm still messing with it figuring out how to incorporate it naturally. Very good advice, thank you!

    Lee Asher's Thunderbird!

It's one of my favorite barehanded Ace productions, besides some of Oz Pearlman's genius tenkai work. It's only 20 seconds long, how can I improve? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsGhC31lqpg Buy it here! http://www.leeasher.com/thunderbird.htm

    Walk Around Card Magic

This is probably what the majority of my performances are, so I would need more detail to give you more effective recommendations. The Biddle Trick is great; very simple, very flexible in terms of routining, and it's a double-climax effect that seems impossible. Most people haven't seen this...

    Question for the Staff.

I definitely agree. To expand your point; most of these guys are buddies and quite a few are close friends. Theory 11 is not theory 12, or theory 11+X It's theory 11. These friends have probably had this vision for a long time, the history of this community is in their blood. Also, anyone who...

    Inquiry regarding video tutorials.

My intention is to find a happy medium between the 12 year olds who expose countless effects on YouTube, and more expensive products such as DVDs and 1:1. Many younger magicians may not have the means to acquire professional teaching, and many older ones may simply want a resource to see how I...
