Electric Touch + By Yigal Mesika

The best link IMO is the main production product made by Yigal Mesika. Anything more and I'd feel uncomfortable in referencing as the components are potentially dangerous if not properly implemented. Good luck!

Card prediction to Walnut in Discoverie of Witchcraft, circa 1584

I think an effect by Joshua Jay might fit well with the Walnut payoff. I really do like objects in "impossible" places effects. Picture this, you borrow a dollar, once you obtain one, you tear off a corner and give it to the spectator "A receipt in the event this trick goes wrong." You then...

    Pick your consultant!

I like that you have Mark Rober on there as well. I'd choose: Calen Morelli (Contemporary methodologist) Jim Steinmeyer (Historical methodologist) Teller (Performance/Direction)

Electric Touch + By Yigal Mesika

Although I haven't bought the item in question, I had built my own gimmick that was much clunkier than what I think is going on with this effect. I don't know how best to describe it without giving away too much details, you will get shocked but you will get used to it. The gimmick I used felt...

    EIT vs IT

Not really, it is better to think of EIT and IT as utility devices that can both achieve the same effect. It just requires a different methodology to come to it. If you're trying to figure out which one works better for you just buy both. Play around with them and go from there.

Bought the Venom ITR, wondering where else I can find effects that can be performed with the gimmick

I think it was Losander who said at a lecture that the key to a levitation effect is to have the object move with the performer staying stationary. Yes Fearson's Levitation hookup is pretty sweet, but it definitely is enhanced with a little mechanical intervention; ie hands stay in one spot...

I like that you have Steinmeyer included in this. Got some optical trickery on the mind or bewildering puzzlers?

Methods for forcing a specific date

Scripting, Equivoque, and Card Force: "I got a bunch of index cards (number cards) just cut make two piles, excellent; 1 and a 5 I need some numbers, you sir 1-12 odd or even? Great choice, how about on this side high or low? What number should we use? 8? Excellent, lets keep things open just...

Invisible Thread - where to start?

It depends on what effects you are looking to achieve with IT or EIT (in the case of loops). I've used both for subtle effects like a PK touch effect as well as telekinetic effects (making things fall, move, etc.) Personally, I feel that whether you use a reel, loops, or a body system (my...

    Oh Snap Card Control

Personally, I think I would have gone mad trying to learn the snap deal from a booklet. I bought the Lennart Green Classic Collection a long while back and learned the basics from there. I haven't heard of Takumi Takahashi's work on Lennart Green's stuff, may have to look into it! Also from...

    Oh Snap Card Control

IDK, just felt like showing off a little. Been working on the snap deal as taught by Lennart Green for about a year, would love some advice for those who use it or know about it. Thanks in advanced!

    Deck stacks, pros and cons?

Other than one off effects, which I acknowledged I'd personally make exceptions such as for the effect Fractal Harmony and Two Head Dragon. Both use full stacked decks. But I'm interested in the in-numerous possibilities, could you explain as best as you can what possibilities can be done with a...

    Mentalism

I agree with this, although 13 Steps is an invaluable tool I think there is way too much information if you are dabbling or beginning mentalism.

    Deck stacks, pros and cons?

I'm not familiar with the Temporarily Out Of Order stack but as it comes to stacked decks in general I don't mind them if the effect is strong enough. A trick that I feel that uses a stack is Fractal something or other by Lennart Green. But it sounds like you'd like to use the stack as a utility...

    Zach King

Hello, long time since I've been on here. Love the new site! Anyway, there are some good arguments here but let me just toss in some food for thought. When moving pictures were first created it used film whether it be 16mm, 135mm, etc. ( I don't know my historical film formats). A movie is a...
