Both uprising and riot are two different ways of doing a similar effect. I think each have their pros and cons.

Your right its not 100% impromptu, on the dvd I do go thru how you can make the gimmick in about 3 seconds, with any deck of cards, and at any time.

Do you create effects in theory and than try to make them in life? Or is it more organic and the tricks come to you as you are making the effect? ( Basically, what is your creative process?) What happens when you get writers block?
