Linking Cigs (Fujii Akira - OTS perf)

Glad you liked it, man! :D And I absolutely have to agree and say that even though I love this and think this is very magical... it's not as magical as your out of this world ring routine! That's something that will shape ring routines in the future... I'm sure of that! :D

    Magic Lessons.

You are still not getting the main point, which is the most important part of the thread: consistency. I'm talking about taking magic lessons regularly. Not watching a lecture now and then.

    Magic Lessons.

I'm sorry but no. Lecture is not the same as classes. At least not as i'm putting it here. I feel you're having a hard time understanding what i'm talking about, so let me explain it further. When you learn a language, you have classes twice or 3x per week, the teacher is not only teaching you...

    Magic Lessons.

So, when we are going to learn an instrument, like drums, for example, we usually go to a teacher, someone who is gonna be with us and work personally and side by side with us. Video classes are also good but they are not the same as having someone watching and helping you with your specific...

    I am very sad

Don't give up. Practice more. Learn from mistakes. Looks like emotions took a lot of control over your performance. that'll get better with time and more practice and confidene.

    Practice time.

Craft for me would be the mechanical part and art would be the whole thing put together. But as I said... that’s not what this is about...

    Practice time.

I understand and agree with what you’re saying, but I don’t think it’s really into the topic. I’m not really discussing presentation or the audiences point of view, those topics are always discussed everywhere... I’m talking strictly about the amount of time dedicated to actually practice (not...

    Practice time.

Sure man. That’s discipline, you do stuff you know you have to do, despite how much you don’t wanna do them. What is your point tho?

    Practice time.

I definitely get you’re point, tho I disagree with it. I do many things and one of them is bodybuilding, which taught me how to have discipline. My approach to everything in life it to keep myself conscious at all times. That means doing things rationally and with the most care I can. In that...

    Practice time.

just out of curiosity, how long does everyone here usually practice per day/week on average? I’d say I’m practicing about four hours per day now that I’m getting back to magic... I took a six or seven years break... before the break I’d practice at least eight hours for about five years....

    Learning card sleights

Sounds to me you’re into French magic style! I’d start taking a close look at French magicians... if you like visual stuff with cards then tony Chang, Patrick kun, yoann, bebel and Eric jones are good inspirations! Best of luck!!!

    Clipshift Help

I think you’re new to magic... this is why you expect the clipshift to click in a few days... it’ll take time. Get the original dvd by chad Nelson, as you’ll support him for sharing this amazing technique and actually learn it properly! I’ve been doing it for some time now and I just love it...

I'm just starting and need some tips

I’d say you’re too new to magic and young. You’ve been into magic for only six months, that’s a very short time for something like magic, that takes a lot of practice. Focus and erring better for now. Practice, find better sources than YouTube stuff only and rethink this in a year or so. That’s...

New to magic in general - need practice advice

I’d suggest nothing but hard practice! You got great material. When you read the stuff, imagine how it should look and work to make it look like that! Do hand stretching too as it will help tremendously in the future.
