    Draven Reviews: Industrial Revelation

I would also like to put in a good word for Industrial Revelation (I use mine all the time and the reactions are always amazing...people talk about it for days after), and also add a little news item here that Jamie has been kind enough to give me an Industrial Revelation to give away. (I am...

The Best Card Effect - Low Budget

I agree that everyone has their own opinion about what the "best" is, so I will say my "favourites." Also, I agree that a good book on card magic will give you far more bang for your buck. Having said that, many of us buy a "one trick pony" every now and then, as do I... two of my favourite...

How many copies does a magic book sell?

I think a book that is popular and has been around for awhile has probably sold several thousand copies... but that is just a guess. Andy Nyman's "Bulletproof" is limited to 750 copies, and from what I have heard, most of those have sold, although it is still not sold out (I'm sure it will sell...

Ben Earl on Penn and Teller's "Fool Us"

Indeed... I think Ben's presentation purposely didn't present something magical... he wasn't aiming to be magical, he was aiming to fool P&T... and by doing this effect with pure skill he totally threw them off and fooled them, because they were expecting him to use sleights or "traditional magic"

A Contest with some T11 Prizes (including White Centurions & Sentinels in Bottle)

@William - cool, no probs, just wasn't sure what you meant, thanks for clarifying. Overall-- it is meant to be a fun contest... I've seen a lot of video contests out there... this isn't much different. Just come up with a motto and display it in a photo or video in a magical way, then post it...

Opening Minds by Colin Mcleod - My Review

This is a great DVD set, I agree with your review. Colin McLeod is one of my favourite mentalists, I love his material. @Awsome - Some of the stage material can be adapted for close-up, such as Lottery, ANAAC, Quite Wordy, and a few others. You can definitely use the principles and ideas...

    A Question to All Mentalists...

One of the best ways to memorize a deck is to learn a peg system - Harry Lorayne's memory books are great for learning how to do this.
