Sweet, on the second one if you maybe pulled forward more with your right hand as you were producing the card it would look more like the cards where splitting rather then coming from behind. But all around good job.

I'd recommend starting with Bobo's modern Coin magic, its a very comprehensive book and you can pick it up just about anywhere. (Borders, Barns and Noble ect..)

It does need a gimmick, its a pretty simple and straightforward one it comes with the DVD. If you plan on giving the card to people when you preform you may need to purchase refills.

I donno, we goes into way more detail about the nowhere pass and covers alot of points on it that he doesn't really go into in the book. It really changed the way i was doing the nowhere pass, for that alone i think it was worth the price.

Yeah, i don't really know any around the MD area, i mostly just shop online. I know when i was a kid there was a store in Baltimore, but its been awhile and i don't remember the name... :-/

I got $150/hr for my last gig at a charity event. So for a 30 min show thats pretty much the same pay, I'd say its a decent rate.

Paper Engine is a great book, if you consider yourself an intermediate or advanced card handler it is a must have.

It was good, it also could benefit from a bit more acting when the string goes from the mouth to the eye, I feel like it happened very quickly. It seems like if you COULD get string to go from your mouth to your eye it would take a bit, and also be a bit more painful or uncomfortable. Just my...
