TECHINICALLY if you have good misdirection you do not even need a palm. Like I said on the previous page. If I used the meteor shower comment I could easily take the card of the pack in plain sight and slip it into my pocket and no one would ever see it. NO SLEIGHT AT ALL JUST MISDIRECTION.

AND I have to agree that maybe the favorite magician question is not a stupid question. It does give us insight to others we may have not heard about.

Sir fansalot, How is the original post a dumd question? Sleights are important but there is ALOT to magic than just sleights and I don't see very many of the other topics being discussed.

If you want to know about sleights you can find ALMOST all the ones you need to know for free on the internet, or in these forums, or in books. How many things are of misdirection and business. Way less.

You are very correct. The sleights do matter, but the misdirection is 90% of it. If I misdirected you with the meteor shower comment, would I have to use a sleight? I could glue the card to your backside take my clothes off and turn into an elephant without any sleight at all. There is more talk...

I belive Tannens magic in NEW YORK CITY is doing a David Blaine special. They have talked of this one. See if they are selling it.
