Genesis v1 is the best place to start for beginners and the Wire has some awesome stuff for free. Dan and Dave's Youtube channel (DANANDDAVE) has a playlist of videos titled "Academy" and there are a lot of free basic moves on there as well. Hope that helps and good luck! -Kyle

Monarchs definitely for me. All the decks I have from the Blue Crown are great for packet stuff because they wont slide around unless they're brand new. Once broken in, however, smoothness is not whats there. Monarchs on the other hand are very nice once taken out of the box and even once broken...

Some good ones are monarchs, owl eyes, fontaines, and nocs. All of these stay together nicely and dont slide around when you dont want them to. Have fun with the flourishes and good luck! -Kyle

Definitely should. Some basics are the Charlier (absolutely necessary, learn that first), Thumb cut, Scissor cut, and the Revolution cut. I think these can all be learned on Genesis v1 by Andrei Jikh. Hope that helps, good luck with it! -Kyle

Cool idea, I would just work on ways to make it more impossible and deceptive. It isnt the most fooling, but if you tweak it and play with it more, im sure you can find a way to make it better. Put a slight bend in the card so it wont fall off balance as easily as it would straight, and either breath on your finger or dab your tongue on it and then wipe it with your shirt to make it a little more moist/sticky. Repetition will increase duration as well. Good luck!

Also as an extra warning when wearing jackets or hoodies, be cautious when taking the sleeve off and on the arm that has the loops on them. I have had more loops sliding off of my wrist due to me putting on and taking off jackets than I would have liked to.
