there is an inaccuracy in the trick that causes them to know you aren't placing the card in the center since you place Joker "Card" Joker on top of the deck and then flip over to show "card" as one card. So then where did the joker that is suppose to be ontop go?

I do effect just like this, but with the jokers. It's really one of my favourite effects to preform.

It really depends what you mean by "Learning Magic". The books above are great but for theory I would advise "Strong Magic" by Darwin Ortiz.

Then why do it? I really like this trick and can be wonderful for laymen once it is done veryy well. For magicians... not so much, we are like uber heckers that know where you sleep. But this doesn't mean you shouldn't try to fool them.
