A 'Melting' Coin.

I am looking for an effect where a coin melts through the use of a hot substance. On david blaine's 'Frozen in time' he does an effect where he uses a borrowed coin and spectator's coffee to melt the coin.

A HA! by david harkey has a routine using a coin dropped in coffee. the coin doens't melt but it does bend and foam a lot. its found in Wayne Houchin's Unreal Montage. you could definitely adapt it to be a melting coin with nothing left. would just take some imagination. hope that helped

Might be what your after.
Though I've heard poor things about it because you need to buy another specialty item which costs another $30 and is difficult to find.

CoinMagic by Richard Kaufman has a melting coin type routine that's pretty cool. It doesn't melt all the way but you actually see the melted silver drip from the coin.
