Hi guys,

i need to get an australian coin shell for some coin tricks im learning ( coinone and gaffed silver) and i went to my local magic shop and asked whether they sold aus gaffs. He told me that it is illegeal to gaff australian coins and only two people in the world make them and they cost thousands of dollars. If anyone here owns an australian gaff can they please tell me how they got it, or who might make australian gaffs. i am looking for a 20c shell.

Your help would be appreciated, thanks.

Howdy,

Australian gaffed coins are available and they aren't too expensive. I bought a 20c shell for $90 Australian.

Which magic shop did you go to?

I got mine from a magic shop in Sydney. There are a range of gaffed Australian coins, including shells and flippers.

I'm pretty sure both magic shops in Sydney stock 20c shells so give them a call or an e-mail.

Good luck.

I'm in Sydney. There is actually a group of magicians who meet every Thursday night in the City (Sydney) above the magic shop in Pitt Street Mall.

You're welcome to come along or send me a PM for more info.
