Bar Mitzvah Magic

Hi, my friend's mother is thinking of hiring me for his brother's bar mitzvah. I have a good close up repertoire and would be doing a lot of walk around/ sitting at a table. And I also have enough material to do a solid 30 minute stage show.

They want me to quote a price, but they said I will also get free food.

Does anyone have suggestions on a price/ other experience in this field?

Thanks!

I remember reading somewhere that someone else was doing something similar to this. The guy that hired him ALSO gave him a good deal on a new cell phone. The decided that $75 for the 30 minute show was a good price

I've done a Bar Mitzvah before (my little brothers) so I can't help you with the price. I'd stick with strolling and walkaround magic. There is going to be tons of dancing, games, and people talking, so a stage act really wouldn't fit in... unless you were a family member, odds are no one would really pay that much attention. What stuff do you have in mind for close up? Also make sure you know to react with drunk people and preteens/younger teens. If you want any specific tips just ask!
