I know the Blue Crown is having some sales but I wonder if Theory11 plans on doing anything big?

Nothing personal Goatears, but I do not understand how or why there are always posts regarding holidays, asking if there is going to be a sale. There has been a sale every year, on nearly every magic hub. Also, all over twitter and FB and such, there is always a ton of build up and marketing all over the place. They want you to know there is going to be a sale, so they tell you. Regardless, there are always still people asking if they are going to have sale. I just do not get it.

No offense taken. I guess that's why I ask, I'm curious to see what's coming out but I have yet to see much advertisement for Theory11. Just a few teasers. If there is going to be a sale or anything I have yet to hear about it. If there is going to be a sale I love to know about it :)

Nothing big... just something HUGE. Going to be an epic day! Stay tuned to theory11 here and on Facebook / Twitter for some sneak peeks over the next 24 hours. Thus far, we've announced the release of EDGE, a powerhouse effect from Mathieu Bich that Zach Mueller referred to as "my favorite theory11 release of the year - jaw droppingly brilliant." It's an effect that Mathieu Bich has been working on for 12 years, and it shows.

But that's not all.. ;)

I was a little disappointed with a lot of Mathieu Bich's recent releases on here, however if this is something that he has had in the works for a while then I am very excited. He is arguably my favorite modern creator of magic. I love his effects and ideas.

i agree. jump really disappointed me. but if this has been in the works for 12 years then its gotta be good.

So far Edge looks very much like the effect he performed on Penn and Teller? The writing on the side of the deck if I remember correctly? If so, awesome!

I'm about 99.7% confident that this will be your favorite effect yet, by far. Let me know what you think after you watch the preview tomorrow!

Oh so true Draven. It is amazing how people go from sitting around the dinner table counting their blessings, remembering loved ones, giving thanks, and then...then they turn to ravage beasts who push in shove people in line, call people names, trample and even get in fist fights over sale priced items on Black Friday. It is kind of sad actually when you sit back and think about it.

Don't get me wrong, the advertising and marketing schemes and big hoopla does bring some excitement to the holidays as well, but some people take it a bit too far. Especially when people are getting hurt, killed or put in the hospital over getting their hands on a flat screen or a knock off tablet that probably won't work in 6 months anyway.

I am excited too see what Theory 11 is about to lay out today. Even I, being the oh so powerful MOD, have no idea..ha ha.

Awesome! Very grateful for the support. Especially on Thanksgiving here in the USA, I think I can speak on behalf of our whole team when I say THANK YOU. In order to make this happen today, we had to move mountains. The decks were shipped Fedex Same Day Delivery from USPC to our studio in Las Vegas, and Andrei Jikh and Michael James captured breathtaking photography all day yesterday. From Mark to Lyle to Bryant to Zach and Christen - everyone on this team did a phenomenal job this week, some of which staying up to 3 and 4:00 in the morning.

We could not be more proud of Artisans and EDGE. But moreso, I'm proud of this team and this community. Our first meeting to discuss a proposed "Artisan" deck was in October of 2011. Of course, we haven't been working on it everyday since then, but week by week, without fail, the concept grew more and more polished. All in all, countless rough drafts were discarded, modified, improved - down to the most minute detail. The script words "Black Edition" on the front is not a font - it was illustrated by hand, over and over again until it looked just right.

I'm proud of that process, and the willingness, patience, and passion of this team to go through it. As with any creative endeavor, quality takes time, evidenced by Artisans but also in EDGE: something Mathieu Bich has been working on since July of 2000. That's 12 years ago - and it was just now, just today, that he felt it was finally "right."

So cheers to that - to the pursuit of getting it right, no matter what your goals are or what you're doing. Be patient. Be restless. Be stubborn. Be determined. And sometimes, amazing things can result. And above all else - find what inspires you. For us, it's our work and it's you guys - it's you - and we're so excited that you love the new stuff. Happy Thanksgiving.
