Black Guardians

Is it just me or do you think that the Guardians and Centurions would be absolutely mind blowing and amazing with black borders instead of the white?

I mean I look at the box for both of them and the designs seem to just POP so much more, yet when you get them out of the box, the white border seems to take away from them.

Anyone else think of this?

Over time also, if the deck had black borders; they would become more aged looking if you did any type of faro shuffles with them. I found this out the hard way when I bought a brick of the "Viper" Tally Ho cards from ellusionist years back. The borders of the cards just seem to fade over time and use.

I agree with what everyone else is saying about the all black cards losing their edge color and losing their appearance. I actually enjoy the white border around the guardians because it sets them apart from all of E's black decks and adds a nice contrast.

Yes you can take a black sharpie and fix the edges but I have better things to do than sit and color edges on cards.

I have heard this topic before and agree that they do look better white, when I first saw them I also thought that they would look better black but I don't think that they would. A thought would be grab a pic and edit it to your taste, see what it would look like.

Also search for this around the forums because I know that I commented on another and maybe some other info would be in one of those.
