My favorite it still to Zoso Change by Doc Docherty. If performed at the right angle it looks spectacular since your hand never truly touches the card (or seem like it).
Honestly, any magician with enough skill, practice and presentation can make any effect look like real magic. Magic isn't in the trick itself, it's in the performer. Keep that in mind.
Magic that has no "moves" as far as the spectator is concerned is something I strive for when presenting "magic". I'd rather do a pinky count, 2 passes and a cull of 4 cards before I did a simpler yet suspicious move. To echo the other posts, it's what you define as "magical" and then how you present your "magical" effect.
I gotta say that my two all-time favorite card effects are two card monte and static. They are absolutely amazing. Oh and the haunted pack, cant forget the haunted pack.
