Hey guys, thought I'd write a review about Clink by David Regal, as I think it deserves one.
First things first. Clink is not a trick. It's a utility device that is used for coins. It can be used for much more than coins, but is designed for coins. Now that that's out of the way, on to the review.

Teaching: Ehhhh. Honestly, I was hoping for more. I saw David at a lecture once, and was hoping for some good teaching on the DVD. Truthfully, it's not the best. David basicaly goes over the bare minimum, and that's all, no more, no less. It's enough to get started on, but he could have been much more thorough.

Quality: If your expecting T11 quality, you'll be disapointed. It's shot with a sheet behind David, and the cuts look like different takes all put together. Oh well, I don't really mind, but for those of you who do...oh well:rolleyes:.

Device: Ahhhhh, now where getting to the good stuff. The device is awesome. You could by the same device elsewhere (trying not to go into exposure here) but this one is much less expensive. If you go really pro, you might go for something more expensive, but this will do fine for those who don't have a LOT of money.
The device has so many applications and uses, you really are only limited by your imagination (it's cliche but true).

Effects taught: A continues routine where coins keep falling out of midair into a glass the magician is holding.
A routine the same as above, but only done three times. Just slightly different techniques .
An extremely clean multiple coin vanish done at a table. So clean looking it's not even funny. Coin workers, forget those coin clips. The performer literally takes four coins and drops them one by one into his other hand. He then then closes his hand, and with a magical gesture, opens it again to reveal the coins have gone. Soooo nice looking when done well.
Another multiple coin vanish only standing up this time.
A very nice coin though glass routine. There are better coin though glass tricks, but this one is very nice looking none the less.
Taking care of your device. David talks about taking care of your device.

Skill level: 5/10. Depends on what tricks you do with it. For the routines included in the DVD it would be 5/10. Just practice and it'll look great. It takes a while to get looking smooth, but it's so good looking when you have it down.

Overall: It's worth it. I really like it so far. I'm still starting out with it, but I already love it. Probably one of the best coin clips in the business too.

Depends on what trick you use it for. For the coins falling into the glass, it's pretty easy on the angles. Just a few to watch out for, but nothing outlandish. For the multiple coin vanish, no more than a coin clip would have.

Cheers
