I have come up with a control/switch that I would like to put on the wire, but only if it is original... which I honestly don't know if part of it is. I have never seen it anywhere else, but it could still be unoriginal so any help would be great.

Considering you've not told us anything about it whatsoever, I'm going to err on the side of probability and say no it's not original.
Also, you're asking about putting it on the Wire. Assuming it actually is original, how long have you been using it in performance consistently?

Won't put in on anytime soon, because I am still playing around with it. But what I'm asking is what would be the best way to find out if something is original or not?
