I wouldn't consider Gypsy thread geek magic at all. Cookie Cutter is more "dangerous magic."

Not at all really. Geek magic is doing something stage with your body that others can't do. Taking thread and breaking it only to have it restored doesn't follow that at all. Getting "lucky" and not eating a razor blade isn't either. If you actually ate the razor blade though that's a whole other story.
