If it is DC, I would totally follow him. I never follow people on twitter (I think it's stupid) so for me to follow someone you know they have to be big.

Indeed, it is DC himself. Chris Kenner has been found RTing DC's tweets. Tis the real deal. DC even posted a picture of himself and Homer Liwag working on something. Kinda cool.
You are correct - the www.twitter.com/d_copperfield account is, in fact, the newly launched official twitter account for DC. Some pretty cool images on it already showing behind the scenes between shows and stuff.
