Distanced magic (without presence)

I am going to apply for a student apartment and to do so I have to send a letter of motivation. I thought about doing a magic(al) trick, but I do not have many ideas. The application has to be sent through letter, so the possibilities are limited and there are many applicants, so I have to make an impression. Do anyone have any ideas?

I know it is a bad title, but that was the best I could come up with right now.

There is a mentalism trick you can do over the phone. I do not know what it is called but I know it is Patrick Redford's trick and you can find it in his penguin live lecture.
