I have heard mixed things about this, and I am not sure if I should go for it or not... What is everyone's thoughts on this??? Does it do differently for different types of cards (ie Tally-Ho's vs Bikes)???

First of all fanning powder is zinc stearate, second I do not use it, third its usage depends on what you do it is very helpful for manipulation but dreadful for sleight of hand, for flourishing it does not matter how ever you'll get less splits. Personally I would not use it but atleast try it once.
I don't use it cause of sleight of hand issues, as mentioned before. But used correctly, it'll help manipulation.
I'd love to know when you all apply it. I live in Vegas which is a pretty adrid climate and here's my observations...
When I apply it to a new deck, the deck actually seems to fan worse .
It helps with a moderately used deck, but at the same time if I apply it to a very used deck it doesn't seem to help at all...
