Ok, about making a living. I perform and get paid. Is this what I do for my living? No. I have another job and magic is an extra source of income.
practicing a trick. I practice until I can't get it wrong, especially when preparing for my act.
What kind of magic- there are many more genres of magic than cards, coins, close up - which itself is rather vague, stage and street.

Am I getting my point through?
