Five Finger Fillet // RESPECT!

Hi All,

I was trying to make a thread with a poll, so instead of making a fool of myself and leaving up a thread, I'll start a new one.

Just thought I would tell you guys something I tried today. I was just playing around with doing the 5 Finger Fillet thing, in which the magician stabs a knife between his/her fingers without stabbing one. I was using a pencil and was trying this with my eyes wide open.

Doing it slow was easy, but doing it moderately fast I kept stabbing myself!

Just thought you should try it, and tell me how it goes? Is it just me un-coordinated or is it really THAT hard?

Thanks,

-Sanj

it was cool at first when everyone was all hyped up because it was the contest. then, i found this rather amusing myself, most people were let down and some complaining that there was no prize!. oh no the world is coming to an end. now that it is Saturday, i'm looking forward to who it is - if they show us - and wonder what the contest will be. i'm assuming it's about anonymous. check out my picture!

Sorry about changing the thread on you! Just copy and paste your response, when I make the new thread!

that was confusing. but since im here, i found that the knife thing came very naturally to me and was able to do it with speed and have not injured myself. i think it may be because ive been drumming for i dont even remember well over 6 years now, i guess, and I'm ambidextrous. keep practicing with the pencil, that is a good idea. dont try going fast, try going smoothly. keep it slow until you can do it slowly with your eyes closed, and then work up the speed.

Thanks for the tips. :D Drumming seems to have helped. I have been doing Piano for the last 11 years, but that doesn't seem to help too much... :(

= the original reason for this thread.

Is there a way to just delete a thread?

Thanks,

Dang man,I remember when doing that was everywhere..At least in Texas during the years i was a kid.All the gangsters were into it,I would see it in movies all the time too.
My cousins and I(They were alot older than I) would see how long we could go and who would chicken out sooner. After awhile i learned its all just about keeping a rythym. Not the same pattern.
Rythym.
They even tried blindfolded!Ive only done it once...for 8 seconds.lol
(the F'ing knife was huge)
Phew...you brought me back..Those were bad times now that i think about it.
