Flap Card Creases

Hello,
I have been working on a routine that uses a flap card and the first person I showed it to could see the crease from across the room. I'm using the flap card taught in Alex De La Fuente's flap card download. The person I showed it to knows quite a bit about magic so they are more prone to notice things like this. I'm wondering if there is a technique that I should be using to make the crease less noticeable.
Thanks, -Isaac

The very first trick I used that incorporated a flap card was Blink by Mark Mason, back in 2003. As in the DEMO video he virtually used his thumb as cover and as soon as he removed it he began slightly moving his hand up and down in a gentle wave, which covered the crease well enough.

I assume since the DVD you mention teaches how to make your own flap cards, that you're wanting to know how to "make" it less noticeable, but I think using court cards + keeping the card moving so they spectator never really gets a still view of the card would be the only way, and personally I think any tricks using flap cards make better stage pieces than close-up.

Gary Plants is someone else you might want to check out.
