I am working on developing a routine using the Sands of the Desert effect. For those of you who don't know what it is, you pour three diffrent coloured sand into a bowl of water, and then produce from the bowl the spectators desired colour completely dry. You can repeat this effect again for the other two remaining colours.
To perform this effect correctly, it seems like I'm going to go through an enormous amount of sand over time, so I am going to assume I'll need to refill my supply.
Without exposing the gaff, Does anyone know where I can get more sand (even if I have to colour it myself) to use for this effect without having to spend an arm and a leg at the magic store buying the same effect over and over?
