How do you remove pillar boxing?

Hey all you awesome film pros! I have some footage of a couple live performances but no matter what I do when I publish the videos on Windows Live Movie maker it adds black bars on the left and right. The reason I post it here is because the Wire team won't accept it with those bars. How do I get rid of them?

There is an "aspect ratio" button under "Project" tab. Change it from standard 4:3 to widescreen 16:9 (assuming you're using the Windows Live Movie Maker which comes with Windows 7).

younprobably filmed it portrait,you can still convert it to landscape though

I've published it both ways and it still shows up with black bars. The bars just change sizes with the aspect ratio.

Here's the video. The trick was approved but the video was rejected because of the black bars.
