So today my English teacher asked me if I wanted to do a one hour show at his house for his New Year's Eve party on December 31st. I gladly accepted the gig because I have performed for kids before (not at a paid gig) but only at say like a camp for disabled children or small gatherings or parties for only about 20-30 minutes. I felt like I have enough experience to try out this first paid gig I am being offered because I performed at the magic castle, strolling at various venues, and a couple of small stage shows here and there as part of a bigger event. My client said that there will be around 25 kids ages 6-7 years old as well as around 15 adults but mostly I'm being asked to perform for the kids. He told me to set a price for him and since this is my first paid gig asides from the Magic Castle and a few tips performing strolling, I don't want to charge too much as well as too little, I wanted to be at a reasonable price. I know Rick Everhart will be able to help me immensely but I'm also looking forward to other magician's opinions. Thank you very much.
