I am going to make a new TV show episodes in my country. I am young and I don't know a lot of things about magic, so I want to ask few questions.
So if I want to use for example Blake Vogt Regeneration trick, I just have to buy it and I can use it, or I have to talk to Blake to use his effect?
Because I am not inventor, I am just entertainer. I make new ways to perform stuff, but I'm not making new effects.

Maybe some of you have done something similar, it would be great to talk to you.

Hey Jebzy,

When you buy a trick from us, we don't require you to ask permission again for performance rights. You bought the effect from us, so you should be able to perform it anywhere, including TV shows. We just ask that there is no exposure of the effect on the TV show, etc (which I'm sure you won't do).

Let me know if you have any more questions!

Thanks a lot, I didn't know that.

That depends on the effects you are using, obviously T11 has a different set of criteria. Some creators withhold TV rights. So you should do the work involved and get the permission. As for the effect in question, you just got your confirmation. Most creators are the same, you buy it, go ahead and perform it on TV.

It's always good to contact the creator or publisher of the effect and to include them in the credits. I wouldn't do much more than that though. It's not wise to have a subtitle come up that says that this trick was created by Blake Vogt and it is currently being sold on Theory11.
