Workable, but not the best solution. Derren Brown has an impromptu haunted deck on The Devil's Picturebook (it's part of his mammoth 3-card routine) which would help you.
The biggest problem I see with your version, at least in this video, is that you're clearly showing the method during execution. The bend of the cards is clearly shown. Also, without a script or presentation of any sort, this type of trick is very difficult to pull off.
Keep working at it. Haunted deck is really fun and when you can get an impromptu version down, it's even better.
