Greetings,

Ok, so I was performing yesterday..And for the first time, my brother helped me out and he brought a camera with him. i was rejected 2 times by spectators, but i also got to perform with several more spectators. i noticed something, my performance and the spectators reactions are different, depending on how i approach them and how i start of my effects.

My problem is how to approach them..what would be a good introduction before performing. I am having difficulty in approaching them without being awkward. But sometimes, I feel so confident and i am able to perform very well. (Don't get me wrong, but i perform effects that i practiced for a long time) But there are also times that I feel awkward. And it affects my performance..

Any suggestions? Comments, suggestions and advices will be a big help..thanks..

its all in the confidence of the approach. just be straight forward. and if you get turned down, oh well. alot of it has to do with the audience. if they are interested, they will react better than a group who isnt.
but basically go up and be like hi im blabla you look like some one who likes to have fun. may i show u something. say something along thoes lines.
but be confident if your opening

Ok, so I went out there again and perform..I tried something..I tried not to think what other people think of me..I went out there, came up to people and just asked them if they would like to see magic. The character I played was a happy-go-lucky guy who happens to be a magician (which happens to be the real me. And it worked). People didn't find me weird or strange at all. My approach was always jolly and as if I didn't care if they want to reject me or not. Luckily, nobody rejected me today. I didn't have to be all serious to get my spectator to notice me. Happy day for me.

When i got home, it hit me right away. That's how Daniel Garcia approaches people. So I watch the DG project 1,2,3 again and noticed how good he is at what he does. It's so natural and flawless. Kudos DG. Watching his videos again made me appreciate how great it is to be just yourself when performing. Cheers..
