I bought primer and paints and glue and a codex and some flock and some spare bits and some brushes, and looked in my wallet and said, "**** this."

To be fair, he came out looking awesome.

Later on, I bought one of those battlebox Necron sets because I heard they were the easiest and cheapest to field. Then I realized I needed, you know, more, or else I won't ever win anything. So in the end, I had some scattered and damaged Necrons, led by whatever their leader is called, plus a well-painted Ork.

I promptly went back to tabletop role-playing, where my monthly upkeep is $8 for paper and pens.

You sound so wise I'd have thought you'd be a Tau player...not the Orkses.

Alas, let's not take away form the point of this thread...not quite sure what there is to say about it though...

Life's expensive. Your best bet of surviving it is in buying Books!

Notice the subliminal plea for magicians to buy books ;)
